All of our practitioners are enhanced DBS checked to ensure their suitability to work with children and they are all also DBS checked to ensure they are eligible to care for and work with children.

The majority of our practitioners are experienced, and most are formally qualified, but we look for more than paper credentials to find the best people for the nursery.

We employ team players with real empathy and commitment towards the children in their care.

The Nursery Manager, Nicola Easton, has over 20 years’ experience working with children, most of these years have been at Conkers. Nicola became manager in 2008 and has been overseeing the day to day running of the setting ever since.

Nicola is supported by 2 Assistant Managers. Josephine Read who has been at Conkers for 18 years and Stacey Nield who has been at Conkers for 16 years.

A senior member of staff will always be on hand during nursery opening hours and the majority of the staff have Paediatric first aid training and relevant food hygiene training to ensure the children’s safety and wellbeing.
